Southern BBQ Pork Sandwich

Our southern BBQ pork sandwich mixes pork, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, and tops it off with a pickle. This combination is simply delicious and I’m not even a big BBQ fan. The bread you use for this is totally up to you but we like to use our favorite; Ciabatta. Lets start by spraying a small baking dish with some non stick spray and add our pork chops. Coat these with a layer of BBQ sauce and add some salt and pepper.

Next we just preheat the oven to 400 and cook for 30 minutes. Pull them out and flip them over and you guessed it, add more BBQ sauce to them

Put them back in the oven for another 20 minutes. I use this time to cut my buns and stick these in the oven and let cook for a few minutes on a baking sheet.

Now the fun part. Once everything is done take the bottom half of your bun and coat with BBQ sauce. I like to slice the porkchops up but you don’t have to, just add them to bun and if you want more BBQ sauce, this is the place to add it. Pile the coleslaw on and don’t be shy.

Lastly, add the pickle and yes I’m not a big pickle fan either but it is a necessity for this sandwich. Grab some napkins and enjoy!
