I was told to give the Italian recipes a break while I thought that this was sacrilege I was pleasantly surprised by this maple pecan crusted chicken recipe. The thought of chicken mixed with maple may not sound like the best combination but trust me, you really should try it.
Let’s mix up the maple and mayo in one bowl and the panko and pecans in the other. Make sure your chicken is pounded out and just drudge it through the maple then coat it with the panko and that’s pretty much it. Place it on a baking sheet flip once and you’re done!

Description
Sweet crunchy and delicious would be the best way to describe this dish. This is by far the best chicken recipe I have had in some time.
Ingredients
- 2 – Large chicken breast or 4 small breast
- 1/4 C – Maple syrup
- 2 TB – Mayonnaise
- 3/4 C – Panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 C – Chopped pecans
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400
- Pound out the chicken breast to about a 1/4″
- I used 2 very large breast but I think generally 4 normal breast will work
- Mix the maple and mayo in a shallow bowl
- In another bowl mix up the Panko and chopped pecans
- Dip each breast into the maple mixture, cover completely
- Then dip into the panko mixture until breast is completely covered
- Grease or spray a large baking sheet and place breast on it
- Bake for 15 minutes, flip then bake for another 20
- And that’s it!
Notes
My wife suggested adding some brown sugar to this because she has a sweet tooth. For me it is plenty sweet but if you’re like her it’s worth a shot. I think she would probably pour chocolate over this if I let her.
