A lot of people shy away from alfredo sauce which is understandable if you’re trying to eat healthy because healthy isn’t anywhere to be found here. For the rest of you, if shrimp scampi pasta alfredo sounds to difficult to make then don’t worry; this is actually really easy. I like to use angel hair pasta which only takes a few minutes so with a pot of water heating up we start with the shrimp and alfredo sauce.
For the shrimp I use a bag of the pre-cooked and pull the tails off. In a med pan heat a little oil with some garlic and toss the shrimp in. Let the shrimp heat up for a few minutes then add some broth or dry white wine, lemon juice and parsley. Let this simmer for a bit, add salt and pepper to taste.
For the sauce we just add a stick of butter and some heavy whipping cream. Let this simmer for a few minutes while whisking. This is a good time to throw the noodles into a boiling pot of water.
While the noodles are cooking add parmesan and parsley to the alfredo sauce and stir until desired thickness. Once the noodles are done add the shrimp on top and cover with the alfredo sauce. Drizzle some of the scampi butter on top of that and serve!

- 1 1/2 C – Heavy whipping cream
- 2 tsp – Minced garlic

Instructions
This is a little tricky because the Alfredo and Scampi cook pretty quick
Bring a large pot of water to boiling
Alfredo sauce
- In a large fry pan add 1 stick(8 TB) of butter on med-low heat
- Once butter begins to melt add the minced garlic and let cook to golden
- Make sure to stir and add heavy cream
- Stir for a few minutes and add parmesan cheese and parsley
- Continue to stir until sauce thickens
- At this time you can add the angel hair to the boiling pot, cook for about 3 minutes
Scampi
- Make sure the pre-cooked shrimp is completely thawed
- On med heat add 2 TB butter and garlic to the pan
- Cook until garlic is a golden color
- Add the Shrimp with tails removed and stir into butter
- Top with salt pepper and red pepper flakes
- Turn heat down and add broth, a dry white wine can be used here too.
- If using wine cook until wine is reduced by half
- For broth let simmer for 1-2 minutes, continue to stir.
- Stir in remaining butter and parsley.
- Drain pasta, add alfredo top with shrimp and drizzle as much scampi sauce as desired on top.
- Enjoy
Notes
Chicken can be used instead of shrimp. I just pounded out a few chicken breast, added them to a baking dish with some chicken broth and cook for 35 minutes at 400.
