Description
We made these the other day at a family get together and they tasted amazing, easy to make and also easy to customize. We will list the ingredients for a sausage and pepper and margarita pizza, both were unbelievably good.
Ingredients
Ingredient amounts are based on size of flatbread. We use the Artisan Flatbread from Aldi’s.
Sausage and Pepper:
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Flatbread shell
- 1 1/4 TB Olive oil
- 1 tsp Garlic salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 lb Fresh Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 C Shredded Mozzarella
- 1/2 lb Ground Italian sausage
- 1/4 C Mild banana Peppers
Margarita Pizza:
- 1 Flatbread shell
- 3/4 TB Olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 6 oz. Fresh Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 C Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 tsp Basil
- 1 Tomato diced
- Handful Chopped Fresh Spinach
- Balsamic Glaze to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Sausage and Cheese Pizza:
- Heat 1/2 tsp oil and garlic in a medium frying pan until garlic starts to brown
- Add sausage to pan and cook thoroughly, set aside
- Cover shell with olive oil
- Coat evenly with garlic salt and Italian seasoning
- Cover with sliced mozzarella
- Add cooked sausage and spread evenly over the shell
- Cover with shredded mozzarella
- Add the banana peppers, spread evenly to taste
- Cook for 10 minutes and serve
Margarita Pizza:
- Cover shell with olive oil
- Coat evenly with garlic salt and Italian seasoning
- Spread diced tomato evenly
- Cover with sliced mozzarella
- Add basil then cover with shredded mozzarella
- Top with fresh spinach if desired
- Cook for 10 minutes and serve

Originally cooked in an outside pizza oven. Cooking directions are for conventional oven. Nutritional info based on Margarita style pizza.
