Description
The perfect mix of sweet and spicy, this Korean beef is fast, easy, and tasty. A great choice for those nights where you don’t have a lot of time and just want to eat.
Ingredients
- 1 C – Rice
- 1 TB – Olive oil
- 2 tsp – Minced garlic
- 1 lb. – Ground beef
- 6 TB – Brown sugar
- 1/2 C – Soy sauce
- 2 TB – Sesame oil
- 1 tsp – Red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook rice as per instructions
- Add oil and garlic to a large fry pan on med heat and cook till golden
- Add ground beef and cook until brown
- In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and pepper and whisk together
- Drain meat and pour 1/4 of the sauce over top and stir
- To serve add rice top with meat and pour desired amount of sauce on top
Notes
I use a double batch of sauce for this recipe because we like ours extra saucy. Optional – add 1/4 tsp toasted sesame seeds and 2 chopped green onions to beef mixture.
