Cheesy Goulash

I had actually never had Goulash or Cheesy Goulash but was convinced to give it a try. To my surprise it turned out really well. Of course I added cheese because why not and cheese just makes everything better. I was really surprised at how simple this was and how flavorful it turned out.

Description

This is a really good recipe when you don’t have much time and you don’t feel like going to the store. I had all of these ingredients on hand and appreciated the fact that I didn’t have to run to the store for once.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. – Ground beef
  • 1 cup – Elbow macaroni
  • 1 TB – Olive oil
  • 2 tsp – Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp – Italian seasoning
  • 1 TB – Worchester sauce
  • 1 tsp – Parsley
  • 15 oz. – Crushed tomatoes
  • 8 oz.Β  – Tomato soup
  • 1 – Small diced onion
  • 1 tsp – Sugar
  • 1/2 C – Shredded mozzarella(I used mixed blend Italian)
  • 1 tsp – Salt
  • 1/2 tsp – Pepper
  • 2 TB – Parmesan cheese

 


Instructions

  • Cook the pasta and set aside, we will add this later
  • In a large fry pan heat oil and garlic on med heat and let brown
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned
  • Pour in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce and bring to a boil
  • Stir to blend ingredients
  • Turn heat to low and add salt, pepper, Worchester sauce and Italian seasoning
  • Add the pasta and mix everything together
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan on top
  • Add the parsley and cover for 10 minutes
  • ServeΒ 

Notes

Add extra parmesan per serving.
